Description: | The "frightful bourgeois" of Vautel is indeed under siege into its factories and homes by new ideologies of the 20s: his daughter is a feminist who opens a garage with other Garçonnes his son a homosexual poet avant-garde invading his mansion to present a surreal spectacle, his mistress a hen that manipulates to get started in film and cuckolded at all costs. When his former secretary is transformed into revolutionary Pasionaria to lead the Communist workers of his factory to strike, and slay the pamphlets she threatened to disembowel like a pig at the Grand Soir. In this, Coty, himself a reactionary point of having financed newspapers and extreme right movements and put pen to write in 1928 against communism, is in part the model of the "hero" of Vautel, which supports the creation of a private militia for the interests and property of the capitalists.
